The Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is the primary computing system deployed by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to replace its predecessor, the Automated Commercial System. As the principal platform through which the trading community communicates information regarding imports and exports, ACE plays a key role in determining the admissibility of goods.
It achieves this by collecting, processing, and analyzing a wide range of data related to traded goods. The system’s electronic capabilities enable trading participants to efficiently provide documentation and data, speeding up customs clearance while ensuring regulatory compliance and boosting security along the supply chain.
