A bonded warehouse, also known as a bond warehouse, is a custom-control facility. It can be a building or warehouse, under which goods with duties that have not yet been paid may be kept until they are or until they may be legally released. The goods stored in such a facility are known as bonded goods. There are 11 classes of bonded warehouses in the U.S., based on the classifications of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
