France Announces Two New PV Tenders for 1.2 GW

Between August 19 and 30, the ground-mounted PV tenders will accept up to 925 MW of projects, in parallel with the building-mounted PV call for tenders, between August 26 and September 6, which aims for a total capacity of 300 MW. The latter marks the end of the carbon footprint requirements based on life cycle analysis (LCA) in favor of a “country mix” approach.

Echa Proposes Adding Two Svhcs to the Candidate List

On June 20, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) identified tris(4-nonylphenyl, branched) phosphite and 6-[(C10-C13)-alkyl-(branched, unsaturated)-2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yl]hexanoic acid as a potential Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).

The proponents are finalizing the necessary documentation, expected to be submitted by August 1, 2024. Following this, ECHA will initiate a public consultation, inviting feedback from stakeholders to inform the decision on whether these substances should be included in the next SVHC candidate list.
