The iPhone Air launched with an impressive 5.5mm and got the spot as the thinnest phone launched by Apple. Obviously, due to the brand’s trend-setting appeal, many brands are now preparing their own super-thin smartphones. Motorola isn’t shy of getting inspiration from Apple, and is preparing the launch of its Moto X70 Air in China. The new smartphone has a promo teaser that resembles Apple’s banner for the iPhone Air. It will arrive on October 31st, and ahead of the launch, the price has been revealed.
The Moto X70 Air is now available for Pre-Order in Chinese Retailers
Ahead of the official launch, popular Chinese retailers such as Lenovo Mall and JD.com listed the Moto X70 Air. The smartphone is sold in two configurations: 12 GB + 256 GB, priced at CNY 2,599 ($365), and 12 GB + 512 GB, priced at CNY 2,899 ($407). The buyers can choose from Gadget Grey, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green Color options. All of them are Pantone-validated to ensure accurate color.
Specifications and Features
In terms of specifications, the Moto X70 Air is more of an intermediary premium than a flagship smartphone. It has a 6.7-inch pOLED display with 1.5K resolution. This panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of brightness. It also gets Pantone certification for color accuracy. It has SGS eye-care protection and an in-display fingerprint scanner for seamless unlocking.
The X70 Air runs on Android 16 and carries the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The phone has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Interestingly, Motorola brings a 3D vapor chamber for efficient heat dissipation. The battery is the least impressive aspect of this device. It has a 4,800 mAh battery with support for 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. Anyway, the phone has a 5.99mm thickness, and we believe Motorola isn’t using the Si-C battery solution.

In terms of optics, the phone has a 50MP Samsung S5KGNJ snapper. Moreover, there is a 50 MP ultrawide shooter and a 50 MP camera for selfies. Other features include 5G connection, NFC, IP68, and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance.
As we’ve said above, the device is slim with a 5,99mm thickness. That’s slightly more than the iPhone Air, but the price is lower. As per the leaks, it is expected to cost between €710 and €810 in Europe. The Motorola X70 Air is expected to hit global markets as part of the Motorola Edge 70 series. The global launch happens on November 5.
