The Oppo Find N5 was revealed in February, and with the end of the year drawing close, the brand has started the hard work on its successor. Well, the development of such a device, dubbed Oppo Find N6, probably started several months ago, but the first details are popping out just now.
Oppo Find N6 Specifications and Features
According to new rumors, the Oppo Find N6 will bring major improvements in design over its predecessor. The device will come with an 8.1-inch inner screen and a 6.6-inch cover display. Under the hood, the device will bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC to the helm. The battery capacity will be around 6,000mAh.
The Oppo Find N6 comes with a 50 MP main camera and uses Sony’s LYT-808 1/1.4″ sensor. It also has a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The device comes with a fingerprint scanner that is side-mounted, embedded into the power button. The phone will also have high water resistance rating and wireless charging.
The phone will be lighter than an unnamed Ultra variant. It’s hard to determine if it will be thinner than the Oppo Find X8 Ultra or the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.
The latter is also an unreleased device, and is expected sometime in the next year. Anyway, Oppo’s recent flagships are thin with big batteries, and saying that a foldable can be thinner than a regular smartphone means a lot in design.
A Super-Thin Foldable
In fact, if we compare this one with the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, we’re saying it’s thinner than 8.8mm when folded.
This shouldn’t be too hard or impossible, since the Find N5 already had an 8.9mm thickness when folded. The device also weighed just 229 grams, which is great considering the design.
There is still a long road ahead, and we expect more details to surface in the coming months.
