With the launch of the Redmi K90 series, global fans have started to wait for the new POCO F8 series, which his expected to bring the K90 lineup to global markets. In fact, the POCO F8 Ultra has been floating in the rumor mill for quite some time. Now, a new report indicates that POCO is also preparing the ground for the POCO F8 Pro.
POCO F8 Pro Certified by NBTC
Earlier this month, the POCO F8 Ultra was certified by Thailand’s NBTC. Today, it was the POCO F8 Pro’s turn. Interestingly, the POCO F7 Pro and F7 Ultra launched only in March, so it seems that POCO could be anticipating the launch of the new models. In fact, the certifications are coming much earlier than they did with the F7 series. A surprise? Not exactly, with the early release of the Dimensity 9500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Android OEMs are launching their flagships earlier than usual.

The New NBTC certification only reveals that the POCO F8 Pro will have the 2510DPC44G model number. The “G” at the end tells us this phone will get a global release. It’s not a surprise, after all, the POCO F Pro series is one of the brand’s most popular lineups among global markets.
Is the POCO F8 Pro A New Smartphone or Another Rebranding?
The POCO F8 Ultra was expected to be a rebranded Redmi K90 Pro. However, Redmi went ahead and launched Redmi K90 Pro Max instead. So, it seems that the POCO F8 Ultra could end up being a rebadged Redmi K90 Pro Max. This leaves the POCO F8 Pro in a mysterious spot. It could be based in the Redmi K90 Pro Max, but not a direct rebrand as this lineup used to be.

The POCO F8 Pro and POCO F8 Ultra are likely coming together for global markets. Considering the leaks and the certifications, we expect their release to happen in the next few months. Obviously, more leaks will pop out ahead of that lunch. We will be tuned in to them.
