HC (High Cube) containers are shipping containers with a typical height of 9.6 feet, which are generally one foot taller than standard containers and hence with increased cubic meter (CBM) capacity. HC containers are specifically designed to accommodate lightweight, voluminous goods.
Compared to normal containers, their added heights enable the storage of larger volumes of freight. They are normally available in 40′ and 45′ lengths, with an approximate capacity of 65 CBM for the 40′ HC container and 75 CBM for the 45′ HC container.
