Samsung is getting ready to launch the next version of its popular A series smartphones, with the Galaxy A36 expected to come out next year after the release of the Galaxy S25 series. Recently, details about the Galaxy A36 appeared on Geekbench. Providing an early look at its key features and performance ahead of the official launch.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A36 will run on Android 15 right out of the box. This suggests that it may also come with Samsung’s new One UI 7.0. It will introduce many new Galaxy AI features to improve user experience.

The listing also gives us insight into the phone’s processor. The Galaxy A36 will have an ARM-based octa-core CPU, which includes four performance cores running at 2.40 GHz and four efficiency cores running at 1.80 GHz. The phone scored 1,060 in the single-core test and 3,070 in the multi-core test, which shows it should handle everyday tasks with ease.
For graphics, the Galaxy A36 will come with an Adreno 710 GPU. This likely means it will be powered by either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipsets. These are built on 4nm technology, offering better performance and battery efficiency. As well as 5G connectivity for faster data speeds.
The Geekbench listing shows the tested model has 6GB of RAM. However, Samsung is likely to offer versions with more RAM and storage to meet different user needs. Following its recent trends, Samsung might also provide up to 6 years of software updates for the Galaxy A36, just like it did with the Galaxy A16 5G.
The Galaxy A36 is also expected to have a Super AMOLED display with a high refresh rate for smooth scrolling and bright colors, a high-resolution main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for sharper photos, and Samsung Knox for enhanced security. Additionally, it will likely come with new AI features to improve functionality.
As we get closer to the launch, more information about the Galaxy A36 will likely become available. However, it’s already clear that Samsung is aiming to deliver a powerful, feature-packed mid-range smartphone.
