Samsung is planning a major upgrade for its mid-range Galaxy A series. Sources say the Galaxy A56, set to launch next year, will include a feature usually found in premium models.
45W Fast Charging Coming to Galaxy A56
The Galaxy A56 will support 45W fast charging. This feature is typically available in the company’s flagship phones, such as the Galaxy S24 series. While some mid-range Galaxy models, like the F and M series, already have this feature, they are mostly sold in specific regions like China and India. For the Galaxy A series, this will be a first.
The upgrade is significant compared to the Galaxy A55, which launched earlier this year with only 25W charging. With 45W charging, users can expect much faster battery recharging times. This improvement makes the Galaxy A56 more appealing in the mid-range market.
Performance and Camera Details
The Galaxy A56 will run on Samsung’s Exynos 1580 processor. This chip has eight cores: one Cortex-A720 core at 2.9GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores at 1.95GHz. It promises smooth performance for everyday tasks and light gaming.
The phone will also feature a powerful camera setup. The main camera will have 50MP for clear, detailed shots. There will be a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro lens for close-ups, and a 12MP front camera for selfies.
