There has been a flurry of rumors and leaks about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Samsung itself has been relatively quiet so far. But now, it has inadvertently confirmed the designs of its next-generation foldable smartphones.
This confirmation comes courtesy of a marketing image accidentally published on Samsung’s official Kazakhstan website. It has been removed now, however. The image offers a clear look at both devices, solidifying what many tech enthusiasts had already anticipated.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE RENDERS OF SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD 6 AND Z FLIP 6
As you can see from the image attached below, both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 appear to be adopting a design language reminiscent of the recently released Galaxy S24 Ultra. This translates to a flatter overall profile with sharper edges and corners compared to their predecessors.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6, in particular, showcases a redesigned camera island on the back. This hints at a potential upgrade in the camera department. The image also confirms that the side-mounted fingerprint sensor will remain a feature on the Fold 6.
When it comes to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, it retains its signature clamshell form factor. But it too receives a makeover for its rear camera design. The cover display, however, appears to maintain its familiar size and shape.
As expected, the leaked image subtly mentions “Galaxy AI.” This further fuels the speculation that Samsung will place a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence. Beyond the design refresh, whispers suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 6 might boast a less prominent crease in its foldable display. There are also words on a wider form factor than in Fold 5.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6, on the other hand, is expected to retain its display dimensions and focus on more subtle improvements. Both devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip. They will also be running the latest Android 14 operating system with Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 on top.
Samsung has yet to officially unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. However, this accidental leak provides a strong indication of what to expect from the upcoming foldable flagships.
WHEN ARE THESE TWO FOLDABLES EXPECTED TO LAUNCH
As you may already know, Samsung holds two major launch events in a year. We already had the Galaxy Unpacked in January of this year, which unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. The second one generally takes place in the middle of the year, and we are pretty much in the middle of this year.
While we’re still waiting for Samsung to announce the timeline, it’s expected to be July 10. It will be held in Paris, and coincidentally, Samsung has opened up a new experience store in Paris. This further solidifies July 10 as the actual timeline for the next Unpacked event. And in case you’re wondering, yes, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will be launching at this event. There will be new smartwatches and the company’s first smart ring too.
