POCO is gearing up to introduce a new budget smartphone dubbed POCO C75. The device appeared recently in the IMEI database, confirming its name and existence. Now, the device has been spotted on the FCC certification website and has also secured EEC certification. These listings suggest an imminent launch for the smartphone. The POCO C75 is anticipated to be the successor to last year’s POCO C65.
POCO C75 APPEARS ON FCC AND EEC
The POCO C75, listed on the FCC website under the model number 2410FPCC5G, is set to run on HyperOS 1.0 based on Android 14. It will feature LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity. While the FCC certification doesn’t provide further details, the EEC listing indicates a European market launch.
Currently, information about the POCO C75 is limited. However, more certifications, leaks, and rumors are expected in the coming weeks. In our previous report, we mentioned that HyperOS source code identifies the internal model numbers as C3N and C3NL. The source also references a Helio G81 processor, though this might be an error, as it would be a downgrade from the Helio G85 that powers the POCO C65. Another possibility is that the Helio G81 could be a new version of the chipset, maybe more efficient. This wouldn’t be the first time we see a reduction in the number.
POCO C75 TO SUCCEED THE POCO C65 FROM LAST YEAR
For context, the POCO C65 features a 6.7-inch 90Hz HD+ display, a dual rear camera setup with 50MP and 2MP sensors, and an 8MP front camera. It is powered by the Helio G85 processor, supports up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and includes a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via a USB-C port.
