Red Magic has updated its top gaming smartphone with the new Red Magic 9S Pro, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading version. For those unaware, it’s an overclocked version that bumps the prime Cortex-X4 core. It appears the company has similar plans for its gaming tablet. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Red Magic is developing its second-generation gaming tablet. It is set to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading version processor. It does not have an official name yet, so let’s call it Red Magic Gaming Tablet 2.
RED MAGIC GAMING TABLET 2 ALLEGED FEATURES AND SPECS
The tipster suggests that Red Magic will unveil the new tablet by late August 2024. Unlike the trend towards larger screens, this successor is likely to have a smaller display. For reference, the first-generation tablet, released in July 2023, had a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 2.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
The new tablet is likely to feature a flat, boxy design. While details are limited, it may include a robust cooling system. We can even expect an active fan, as seen in previous Red Magic gaming smartphones. Moreover, expect it to have a large battery and fast charging capabilities. For comparison, the first-generation model had a 10,000mAh battery and 80W charging. The new tablet might also offer up to 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. We’ll have to wait for more information, but if the release is imminent, details should surface soon.

It will be powered by up to a 14th-gen Intel Core i9 processor and offer NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060/4070 GPU options.
