Samsung quietly introduced the Samsung Galaxy A07. As usual in this lineup, it’s a super budget smartphone. However, it shows how this lineup is getting better with every release. Compared to last year’s Galaxy A06, this new model offers stronger hardware, longer software support, and a few small but meaningful extras that should give it a longer life. It is getting six years of OS updates, which is a remarkable aspect for a low-end smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy A07 Specifications
Under the hood, we have the MediaTek Helio G99. It may not be a brand-new chip, but it’s a step forward from the Helio G85 used in the A06. The G99 is built on a more efficient 6nm process. That’s a notable upgrade from the older 12nm design.
As we’ve said above, the software support is where the A07 really stands out. It ships with Android 15 running Samsung’s One UI 7, and Samsung has committed to six full OS upgrades. That’s a huge jump compared to the A06, which only gets two updates. In fact, this is way ahead of what other OEMs are offering. Usually, those on the low-end market can barely get one update. So this is a push that hopefully other brands will need to follow to stay competitive.

The display is a 6.7-inch LCD that now runs at 90Hz, offering a smoother experience compared to the standard 60Hz of its predecessor. The resolution stays at 720p+, which is typical for this price range. Up front, there’s an 8MP camera in a notch, while the back carries a 50MP main sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera supports 1080p video recording.
Samsung hasn’t forgotten about the practical touches either. The A07 supports dual SIM cards, has a dedicated microSD slot, and still includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB-C 2.0 port. Power comes from a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, and the phone itself is slim at 7.6mm and weighs 184 grams.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy A07 was first announced in Indonesia with configurations ranging from 4GB RAM and 64GB storage up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. A 4GB/128GB model has also appeared in Ukraine for around $115 or €100. In Indonesia, the entry model is listed at about $85 or €75, which is likely due to different taxes in the region.
